Abstract :
In a day today life digital images , audios and
text is the most common medium of communication and
they are widely transmitted over the insecure network
channel including internet . Among all multimedia,
Images may contain susceptible information like Satellite
and UAV navigation Images , Military Communication
and Medical Imagninig. In order to protect data privacy,
encryption of images before transmission in internet is
most crucial part to maintain confidentiality , integrity ,
nonrepudiation and authentication . In this paper we
review and analyse various type of image encryption
technique based on chaotic maps and several
performance metrics to verify efficiency of security
algorithms .
