Abstract : Digital finance is reshaping financial inclusion in Tamil Nadu by broadening access and improving service quality for underserved populations. This study examines how UPI, AI-driven microcredit, mobile banking, and self-help groups translate digital infrastructure into economic empowerment across Chennai, Tiruchirappalli, and rural Digital India sites. Adopting a mixed-methods stratified design, it evaluates digital literacy, infrastructure, user trust, and socio-cultural barriers shaping FinTech adoption. Findings indicate account ownership has expanded, yet persistent gaps in digital literacy, vernacular interfaces, and gender-based agency constraints limit engagement. The study proposes targeted infrastructure strengthening and gender-disaggregated credit frameworks to translate digital access into lasting financial resilience.
