Abstract : The attainment of educational goals requires a teaching style based on a coherent curriculum and psychologicalpedagogical principles. The choice of a certain teaching technique must be defined by the peculiarities of the curriculum and the students' level of competence. A teaching method is the practical implementation of educational ideas and principles; without a good approach, these values remain theoretical. In the Indian setting, it becomes necessary to work towards Indian educational principles, goals and aims in pedagogical practices. There is a need for effective cooperation between the educational approaches of ancient India and those of modern day education. The methods of the past cannot be reproduced in their original form in the modern setting, nor should current approaches ignore the fundamental principles of antiquity. The present research is an attempt to compare the Panchpadi teaching style with other educational tactics. The author analyzes the literature with the help of a methodology based on the analysis of historical documents to determine the important elements, roles of learners and teachers, and learning styles linked with the Panchpadi method and different teaching methods. The review critically evaluates the relevance of each model in relation to the current educational aims, with particular emphasis on the simplicity and cultural relevance of the Panchpadi model for both urban and rural Indian contexts.
