Abstract : The study, Assessing Barriers to Healthcare Access in Anambra State: A Comprehensive Evaluation, evaluated the current healthcare system in Anambra State by examining infrastructure, geographical distribution, transportation challenges, and socio- economic factors. The objectives sought to evaluate the current healthcare system in Anambra State and identify any accessibility issues. The study employed a mixed- methods research approach, including surveys, interviews, and a comprehensive review of existing literature. The findings showed that the overall accessibility of healthcare services in Anambra state is suboptimal (tstatistic, 2.911 > tcritical, 2.365). The study concluded that the healthcare delivery system in Anambra state is not operating at the optimal level that guarantees equal access to quality healthcare to all the citizens and residents of the state. It therefore recommended that the state government should invest in infrastructure, train healthcare workforce and adopt innovative solutions, such as telemedicine, to improve healthcare delivery in the state.
