Abstract : Majority of malignancies in head and neck are of squamous cell carcinoma histology(90%). Malignancies of other pathological variants in head and neck are quite infrequent and hence lead to uncertainities in diagnosis, treatment and require needful research. Minor salivary gland tumours, lymphoma, mesenchymal tumours, melanoma and variants of squamous cell carcinomas come under this category.
