Abstract :
Title: To Assess the knowledge, attitude and perception of Beta Thalassemia among non-medical university students in UAE. Objectives: To determine the extent of knowledge that non-medical students have about thalassemia, including its causes, symptoms, and prevention methods. To evaluate non-medical students' awareness of the relationship between consanguineous marriages (marriage between relatives) and the increased risk of thalassemia in offspring, and their perceptions of this risk within the context of cultural practices in the UAE.
