This manuscript presents a research project
analysing the behaviour of the hippie community residing
in Arambol, Goa, with a specific focus on their usage of
"green drugs" as an integral part of their culture and
environment. The research project aims to delve into the
motives, patterns, and consequences of drug consumption
within this unique community, while also exploring the
broader aspects of the hippie lifestyle in Arambol. By
employing a multidisciplinary approach, encompassing
sociological, anthropological, and psychological
perspectives, this study strives to shed light on the
intricate relationship between the hippie community,
their use of "green drugs," and the surrounding
ecological environment.
