Abstract :
Aortic dissection is a life-threatening condition often associated with connective tissue disorders, particularly
Marfan syndrome, which predisposes individuals to aortic dilation and rupture. The Bentall procedure, which involves the
replacement of the ascending aorta and aortic valve, is an essential surgical intervention for patients with aortic dissection
and valve disease. This study examines the role of the Bentall procedure in managing Stanford A DeBakey Type II aortic
dissection, with a focus on patients with Marfan syndrome. The findings highlight the importance of early diagnosis, effective
pharmacological management, and timely surgical intervention to improve patient outcomes. While recent studies show
promising results, further research is needed to assess long-term outcomes and refine surgical techniques, including
minimally invasive approaches, to reduce complications and enhance recovery.
