Abstract : This study explored the potential of structured Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) to bridge learning gaps in Grade 8 Science at Kalayaan National High School. It examined students’ performance before and after their exposure to the learning materials and identified the challenges they encountered during their use. The study employed a quantitative research approach involving four randomly selected Grade 8 classes. Pre-test and post-test scores were used to determine the students’ learning gains after the utilization of the Learning Activity Sheets. A t-test was employed to determine whether there was a significant difference between the students’ pre-test and post-test mean scores. In addition, the students’ evaluation of the Learning Activity Sheets was analyzed in terms of the challenges they encountered in using the materials.
