Abstract : Microgrids have gained extensive attention over the prior 20 years and are alleged to be a substantial compound of impending power systems. The main objective is to essence the carbon footmark and to enhance the utilisation of Renewable Energy Sources (RES). Integrating distributedenergy resources to create a microgrid will betremendously vital. The development of modern and future electricity networks, like the smart grid, is influenced by MGs because they can provide a variety of benefits to the increasingly complex and growing power system, like better power quality, increased efficiency, enhanced system integration of energy sources that are renewable and clean, and improved network stability and reliability. Microgrid implementation has difficulties controlling, operating, and protecting since integrating RES into the system is more difficult. This paper comprehensively presents the different novelties in integrating RES, control, and optimization.
