Abstract :
This study investigated the relationship between cybersecurity awareness and educational outcomes among Grade 4
learners. The research aimed to assess the extent of cybersecurity awareness and its influence on critical thinking,
responsible online behavior, and ethical use of digital resources. A descriptive correlational research design was employed,
involving Grade 4 students from an elementary public school in Davao City, Philippines. The studentswere selected
through random sampling. Data were collected using a validated survey questionnaire adapted from previous research
studies. The results revealed a significant positive correlation between cybersecurity awareness and educational outcomes
(r = 0.685, p < 0.05). Indicators of cybersecurity awareness significantly influencing educational outcomes include
willingness to report suspicious activity, knowledge of online safety practices, ability to recognize common cyber threats,
and use of secure online practices. The findings highlight the importance of integrating cybersecurity education into the
curriculum to enhance both cybersecurity awareness and educational achievements among Grade 4 learners. Future
research may explore the long-term effects of cybersecurity education and expand the scope to different age groups and
contexts. This study contributes to the understanding of the potential benefits of cybersecurity education in shaping
responsible digital citizens and improving educational outcomes.
