This study presents a detailed evaluation of various factors involving the use of driverless commutes in smart cities. The study presents a detailed evaluation of early developments of these autonomous systems and the effectiveness of these systems in smart cities. A detailed research has been conducted based on the views of managers of various organisations in smart cities worldwide. A survey has been conducted in order to evaluate their views and ensure proper accomplishment of goals relating to gaining knowledge regarding the effectiveness and efficiencies of these autonomous systems. The study also discusses various factors that influence governing bodies to incorporate driverless commutes as a potential alternative transportation system.
