Abstract : This study examined the effect of dividend payout ratio and dividend per share on the stock price performance of listed consumer goods firms in Nigeria. The study employed secondary data obtained from published annual reports of selected firms covering the period 2020–2025. Dividend policy was proxied by dividend payout ratio (DPR) and dividend per share (DPS), while stock price performance was measured using market capitalization (MC). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, Hausman test, and fixed effects regression model. The descriptive analysis revealed significant variability in dividend policy variables, including periods of zero dividend payments. Correlation results indicated positive relationships among the variables, with a strong association between DPS and DPR.

Keywords : Dividend Policy, Dividend Per Share (DPS), Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), Market Capitalization (MC), Stock Price Performance.
