Abstract : This study examined the effects of discussion and lecture methods on the academic performance of Business Administration students in private polytechnics. Specifically, the study investigated the effects of round table discussion, group discussion, panel lecture, and interactive lecture methods on students’ academic performance. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The population consisted of 300 National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students of Business Administration in Crown Polytechnic. Using Taro Yamane’s formula, a sample size of 171 respondents was obtained through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using simple and multiple regression analysis. Findings revealed that round table discussion, group discussion, panel lecture, and interactive lecture methods all had significant positive effects on academic performance.
