Abstract :
Learning a new lesson is sometimes difficult. A student must apply some knowledge and skills before learning a
particular topic. Some students cannot learn the present topic due to low levels of particular knowledge and skills. To resolve
this, the teacher should conduct an intervention. One way of intervention is to provide a Strategic Intervention Material
(SIM) to students. Nowadays, there are innovations made in SIM like making it as electronic for the intervention to be more
effective and interactive. However, students study alone most of the time when using the E-SIM. To resolve this, the
researcher incorporated video lessons in E-SIM. In learning a particular topic in Mathematics, the E-SIM with video lessons
can be injected and utilized. For uniqueness and applications, the researcher incorporated in E-SIM the important skills of
the MATATAG curriculum. To be more novel and interactive, the researcher will integrate the Damath app into the E-SIM.
The researcher used the descriptive and developmental research design. The sampling techniques used by the
researcher was purposive sampling. The selected grade 10 students as participants came from San Joaquin Kalawaan High
School. The selected master teachers in Mathematics as other participants came from different junior high schools under
the Schools’ Division Office- Pasig City. A diagnostic test is used to identify the learning needs of students in solving basic
operations in integers. The first survey form is utilized to identify the acceptable criteria to be considered in designing
(planning) the E-SIM. The second survey form is utilized to evaluate the quality level of the developed E-SIM based on the
expert review. After data gathering, the researcher analyzed and interpreted the results using the weighted mean as
statistical tool.
