Abstract :
The rapid growth in electronic waste (e-waste) has become a major environmental and public health concern,
particularly in developing countries where effective waste management systems are often lacking. Educational institutions,
as significant users of electronic devices, contribute substantially to e-waste generation; however, limited research has
examined their disposal practices. This study investigated e-waste disposal methods and the factors influencing sustainable
e-waste management among educational institutions in Aba Metropolis. A descriptive cross-sectional survey design was
employed, involving 40 purposively selected personnel responsible for managing electronic equipment across three tertiary
institutions. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics.
