Abstract : The present study examines the factors influencing consumer preference for online purchase of cosmetic products among selected college students in Vadakara City. The study focuses on the socio-demographic characteristics of the respondents, their online purchasing behaviour, and the factors influencing their preference for purchasing cosmetic products through online platforms. The study is based on primary data collected from 100 college students using a structured questionnaire. Convenience sampling was adopted for selecting the respondents. The collected data were analysed using frequency, percentage, reliability analysis, and factor analysis. The findings of the study indicate that lower price is the major reported reason for online purchase of cosmetics, while makeup products are the most commonly purchased cosmetic category. Amazon is the most frequently used online platform among the respondents. The study concludes that students’ preference for online cosmetic purchases is influenced by a combination of promotional, price-related, informational, digital, convenience, and post-purchase service factors.
