Abstract : Background: Perilunate dislocations (PLDs) and perilunate fracture-dislocations (PLFDs) are rare wrist injuries usually caused by high-energy trauma, in which normal carpal alignment and the intercarpal ligaments are disrupted. Prompt anatomical reduction and secure fixation are important for recovering wrist function and reducing the risk of later complications. This study evaluated the clinical and radiological results of acute PLDs and PLFDs managed with external fixation and percutaneous Kirschner-wire (K-wire) fixation.

Keywords : Perilunate Dislocation; Perilunate Fracture-Dislocation; External Fixation; Kirschner Wire; Ligamentotaxis; Carpal Alignment; Wrist; Cooney Score.
