Abstract : In this study, electrical resistivity techniques were employed to assess the subsurface conditions for the design of foundations at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, in the southwestern part of Nigeria. The terrain of the area is part of the Precambrian Basement Complex terrain. A geophysical survey using Electrical Resistivity Imaging (ERI) and Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) was conducted. The Wenner array was used to acquire three 80 m-long ERI profiles with 2 m electrode spacing. The Schlumberger configuration was used at each of the profile midpoints to perform three VES stations.
