Abstract : This study focuses on the identification and characterization of aquifers by the electrical measurement method, specifically vertical electrical sounding in the villages of Nsele and Kikamba in the Kongolo health zone in the Tanganyika province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The main objective is to locate potentially aquifer zones and to estimate their production capacity from hydrogeological parameters in order to guide the installation of water collection structures, especially since the need for drinking water is very great in this area where refugeesfleeing warsin North Kivu and South Kivu are flocking. The methodology is based on the one hand on the interpretation of 6 electrical soundings carried out in these villages, supplemented by the geological and hydrogeological analysis of the study area and on the other hand on the estimated calculations of the hydrogeological parameters characterizing the different geological formations identified in this area.
