Abstract :
Extensive growth of statistical theory and practice in India has been greatly influenced by several eminent
academics. In addition to P.C. Mahalanobis' predominant presence, Indian statisticians have had a lasting impact. Our goal
is to draw attention to the ways that the activities of important statisticians have shaped the field's development both
nationally and internationally.
