The purpose of this study is to determine the
effect of medium and large industries on the performance
of the manufacturing sector and the implications for
economic growth. The approach used is a quantitative
methodology, and the dataset used consists of time series
data from 2016 to 2021, obtained from the Central
Statistics Agency for Banten Province (BPS Banten). In
addition, library data provided additional support for this
research. To test the hypothesis, especially the effect of
medium and large industries on the performance of the
manufacturing industry and its effect on economic
growth (GRDP), ECM analysis techniques are used to
determine the relationship between the independent
variables and the dependent variable. The findings of this
study indicate that the results of the ECM estimation
further indicate that only the manufacturing industry
performance variable has an important impact on short-
term economic growth.
