Abstract :
The issues of cyber security has been ongoing
in the exisiting literature. The Niger Delta Area in
Nigeria has been characterized by unrest and other
hostile activities. Hence, this study investigates how
cybersecurity (measured in operational security,
network security, application security and information
security) will influence sustainable Peace in the Niger
Delta. The cros sectional survey research design was
employed in the study. Questionaiires were administered
to six hundred and sixty-three (663) respondents from
three states purposively selected from the Niger Delta
area. The regression analysis shows that Operational
Security, network security, application security and
information security significantly influences sustainable
peace. The study recommends that robust actions should
be taken by stakeholders and government agencies in
protecting critical cyber infrastructures in aother to
achieve and sustain peace in the Niger Delta.
