Abstract : The corrosion inhibition of ethanol extract of Mangiferaindica on tin (Sn) metal surfaces in 0.5M Hydrochloric acid and at ambient temperature was carried out using the gravimetric method. The results show that the percentage inhibition efficiency (% IE) of the extract increased with a relative increase in concentrations of the inhibitor throughout the test period, indicating physisorption of extract on the tin surface.
