Abstract :
Recently, the growth in population, especially in urban areas and industrial areas, has given rise to the price of
land and unsuitable lands for development. By considering these factors, the construction industry needs to improve the
use of unsuitable land for construction. The main problematic soil that is commonly identified was black cotton soil,
which is also known as expansive or soft soil because of its shrink-swell property in the present study the concept of a
single granular pile was used to construct a structure in black cotton soil. A cylindrical tank was used to perform all the
tests.
