Abstract :
The rapid development of the Metaverse has opened new avenues for entrepreneurial activity through immersive
environments, digital offerings, virtual services and emerging business models. At the same time, the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) offer a broad framework for addressing economic, social and environmental concerns. This
study explores how Metaverse-based entrepreneurship relates to sustainable development by systematically reviewing
secondary literature. The review examines emerging entrepreneurial opportunities, their relevance to selected SDGs, and
the sustainability-related challenges that may influence their outcomes. Particular attention is given to areas including
quality education, decent work and economic growth, and industry, innovation and infrastructure, together with concerns
surrounding digital inequality, environmental effects, privacy, cybersecurity, accessibility and regulatory uncertainty. The
study brings these dimensions together to develop an integrated understanding of the opportunities and limitations of
Metaverse entrepreneurship in the context of sustainable development and the SDGs.
