Abstract :
Purpose:
Employee digital competence determines whether investments in platforms, data, and automated processes are translated
into operational value. This study examines five organizational conditions associated with employees' self-reported digital
competence in a Vietnamese commercial bank. Design/methodology/approach - A cross-sectional survey produced 270
responses. Seventeen cases displayed zero variance across all 25 measurement items and were removed using a prespecified response-quality rule, yielding 253 valid observations. Reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, Pearson
correlations, and multiple linear regression were applied. A full-sample sensitivity test assessed the robustness of the
findings. Findings - All six scales were reliable (Cronbach's alpha = .822-.877), and exploratory factor analysis supported
the intended structure.
