Abstract :
This study examined the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on household income and coping strategies in Imo State,
Nigeria. Data were collected from 360 households drawn from both rural and urban communities using a structured
questionnaire through a multistage sampling procedure. Descriptive statistics and a probit regression model were used to
evaluate the data. Findings revealed that the mean age of the household heads was 42 years, with rural and urban averaging 40
and 44 years, respectively.
