Abstract :
Perfectionism is commonly associated with the desire to meet high standards, but it can also become a source of
pressure when adolescents feel that they have to meet their own or others’ expectations. The present study examined the
relationship between perfectionism and well-being among adolescents, with specific focus on self-oriented perfectionism and
socially prescribed perfectionism. A sample of 200 adolescents aged 13–16 years was selected from schools in Kottayam,
Pathanamthitta, and Alappuzha districts of Kerala using convenience sampling. The Child–Adolescent Perfectionism Scale
(CAPS) was used to measure perfectionism, while the Adolescent Well-Being Scale was used to assess well-being. A
correlational research design was adopted, and the data were analysed using Spearman’s rank-order correlation.
