Abstract :
The study aims to evaluate the phytochemical screening and antibacterial activity of Vernonia amygdalina leaves
extracts against microorganism Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Phytochemical study revealed that numerous
bioactive components were found in the cold and hot water and ethanol extracts of the plant. Ethanol and water extractions
were used to analyze the effects of V. amygdalina leaf extracts, and the well diffusion method was used to assess antibacterial
activity.
