Abstract :
The exploitation of industrial quarries is an
economic activity that requires huge quantities of fossil
fuels. This article attempts to determine the potential
impact of fossil fuel consumption on the environment
during industrial quarrying activities in the west of
Cameroon. The environmental significance of TESSE's
industrial quarry has been considered and described
through the relationship between diesel consumption and
environmental impacts. Confronting greenhouse gas
emissions and average daily consumption of diesel gives
indications on the state of the environment.
