Abstract :
This study were investigated the effectiveness of S. jamaicensis root for wound healing. Despite the plant’s historical
use in traditional medicine practice, scientific evidence were limited, particularly concerning the root. To address this, the
researchers evaluated the methanolic root extract's efficacy in promoting wound closure and tissue regeneration in an animal
model. The extract, prepared by macerating dried root using methanol, were applied topically to excised wounds in male
albino mice. Results were compared to a positive control, Povidone Iodine, and a negative control, Base formulation.
Keywords :
Root Crude Extract of S. jamaicensis, Povidone Iodine, Excision Model.
