Abstract :
Background:
Good movement quality is the capability to perform fundamental movements in a duly balanced and well - coordinated
manner. One of the most dependable methods of preventing injuries is to identify the compensatory movement patterns and
correct them for this reason the movement screening test is used, to assess physical insufficiency in active young adults.
Aim:
To explore the prevalence of rotary instability among young adults.
Study Design:
Cross sectional study.
Methods:
One hundred and ten participants screened in the study. Rotary stability test was performed by the participants and it
was scored, while the physical activity and flexibility were assessed using International Physical Activity Questionnaire and
Sit and Reach Test.
Results:
Out of 105 participants 39% Participants have a score of 1, 46% Participants have a score of 2, 15% Participants have
a score of 3. Out of 32 males 90% of males have rotary instability. Out of 78 females 80% of females have rotary instability.
Conclusion:
There is a high prevalence of rotary stability dysfunction and asymmetries among young adults.
