Prenatal ultrasound screening has become a routine part of care for women in Ghana. The modality is quite different from most other techniques because it permits women to visualize their babies on screen real- time. Routine obstetric ultrasound screening plays a significant role in reducing maternal mortality and has gained recognition for its use in prenatal care globally.
