Unemployment and employability are challenges faced by present day graduates. Whatever may be the situation, the students do graduate in some discipline or the other as a cultural symptom of our country. This indicates that it is highly unusual to find young students in our country who would dare to quit studies in higher secondary unlike the western countries in which they opt for part-time studies from higher secondary onwards. Whatever, be the situation, unemployment of
employability issues, hiring does go on as a part of every organization every year. It is the only way through which fresh blood can be introduced in the organization thereby leading to several other growth aspects of the organization. Of several traditional and modern methods exploited, campus hiring is one\ of the oldest methods which are still believed by most of the organizations. The researcher has taken efforts to study the skill sets that were identified in students who were hired through campus interviews. The significant findings have been discussed in the paper.
