Abstract :
This paper mainly focuses on the socio-
economic condition of tribal people in Bardhaman town
with some selected pockets. Tribes are the indigenous
community of our society. With modern life influencing
tribal life. The majority of the household occupations are
mason, carpenter, Construction labour, vegeFigure
vendor etc. This research aims to understand the living
conditions, access to education, healthcare, and
employment opportunities among these communities in
Bardhaman town. To explore socioeconomic conditions
compared to represent conditions of tribal households in
the study area. The present study investigates the socio-
economic status and problems faced by this community
to sustain their livelihood. This study concludes how to
improve the socio-economic condition of tribal society.
