Currently, Indonesia's construction industry
still shows weak co. mpetitiveness with foreign
construction companies. This is believed to be due to the
low creativity and innovation in construction practices.
This study aims to model the relationship between
company characteristics, innovation adoption, and
technology readiness to achieve competitive advantage.
The research variables were obtained through an in-
depth literature review and questionnaires, distributed
to 106 large construction companies located in
Indonesia. The research respondents were technical staff
or high-level management involved in implementing
construction innovations. Empirical data was then
analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis with
Structural Equation Model (SEM) tools. The results
showed a significant relationship between technology
readiness, company characteristics, and competitive
advantage mediated by innovation adoption.
