Abstract :
Obesity is a global epidemic that significantly increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, transforming the heart
from a resilient organ into a vulnerable entity. This article explores the multifaceted mechanisms through which obesity
contributes to cardiovascular strain, including hemodynamic changes, metabolic dysfunction, and chronic inflammation. It
highlights the association between obesity and various cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure,
and stroke. Furthermore, the article emphasizes the importance of lifestyle modifications—such as healthy eating, regular
exercise, and behavioural therapy—as well as medical interventions like bariatric surgery and pharmacotherapy in mitigating
the risks associated with obesity. Ultimately, it underscores the potential for reclaiming cardiovascular health through
proactive measures, fostering a narrative of resilience and hope in the face of this pervasive health challenge. Empowering
individuals to reclaim their health, we aim to inspire a movement towards resilience and vitality, addressing obesity as a
pressing public health challenge that requires immediate action to alleviate its burden on cardiovascular health.
