Abstract :
The adoption of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in library services has significantly
transformed how information is accessed, managed, and shared. In the Kashmir region, where socio-economic progress has
been hampered by various obstacles, ICT-powered library services have emerged as a key driver of sustainable development.
This paper investigates the transformative effects of ICT on library services, emphasizing its role in advancing education,
research, and community involvement in Kashmir. It also addresses the challenges associated with implementing ICT-based
solutions and suggests strategies to overcome these barriers, ensuring fair access to information and promoting sustainable
growth in the region.
