This study aims to analyze the effect of the
work environment and organizational culture on
employee performance through the mediation of
achievement motivation. The research population
consists of 64 permanent employees working in the
Bureau of Personnel and Organizations, using the
Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square with
SmartPLS 3.2.9. The result of this study found that the
work environment has a direct and significant positive
effect on employee performance and achievement
motivation; organizational culture has a positive but not
significant effect on employee performance;
organizational culture has a positive and significant
effect on achievement motivation; achievement
motivation has a positive and significant effect on
employee performance; work environment mediated by
achievement motivation has a positive but not significant
effect on employee performance; organizational culture
by mediating achievement motivation has a positive and
significant effect on employee performance.
Organizational leaders are suggested to improve a
conducive office atmosphere and create harmonious
relationships among employees so that employee
performance increases.
