Abstract :
The present study is a qualitative analysis of the translation of the magazine Calebasse by the Asky Company. It
makes a significant contribution to the field of translation by offering an in-depth analysis of the analytical processes and
challenges related to the translation of documents, it presents and comments the lexico-syntactical choices of the translator
in order to evaluate their adequacy for the purpose assigned to the translator which is to faithfully transcribe the thought
of its author. As results of this study, it demonstrates after analysis that certain choices of the translator are to be improved
because they do not faithfully convey the intention of the author of the source text and do not always have the same meaning
in the context respectively used.
