Abstract :
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a subfield of
computer science that focuses on building systems that
can carry out tasks that normally require human
intelligence. Learning, reasoning, problem-solving,
comprehension of spoken language, perception, and even
creativity are some of these tasks. Academic libraries can
improve services and operations by using artificial
intelligence. However, the implementation of AI in
academic libraries has many challenges, such as
technical issues, ethical and legal concerns, etc. The
article includes the history and definition of artificial
intelligence, the importance of AI, methodologies and
techniques utilized by AI, areas where artificial
intelligence can be used, and challenges in implementing
AI in academic libraries.
