Abstract : Vocational Training Courses (VTCs) have been introduced under National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to help students develop practical skills, improve employability, and prepare for future careers. The present study was conducted to examine the perception of college students regarding Vocational Training Courses (VTCs) in the Jaiaw area of East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya. A descriptive survey method was used for the study. Data were collected from 302 sixth-semester undergraduate students through a self-structured questionnaire and analyzed using percentage. The findings reveals that most students have a positive perception of Vocational Training Courses (VTCs). The courses were found to support skill development, practical learning among students. However, challenges related to facilities, learning resources, and teacher guidance were also identified. The study concludes that Vocational Training Courses (VTCs) play an important role in preparing students for future careers and enhancing their overall development. Therefore, strengthening institutional support and resources can further improve the effectiveness of vocational education.
