Abstract :
The value of root over 2 √ ) was
determined at various phases in the span of 2800 years.
It began with “the Vedangas“, a group of literatures as
appendages of Vedas. Among six such corpuses of
Vedangas, Kalpa (ritual) dealt with religious rituals.
