Inclusive or holistic development is a process of creating and maintaining an environment that provides of children with disabilities resources to achieve their full potential. Holistic development is a lifedevelopment strategy that fosters higher levels of human functioning and well-being for themselves, their family, role models and community in a reciprocal manner. It is a way of living that involves finding balance between of children with disabilities body, mind and spirit by being reflective and conscientiously engaged with all aspects of their life experience. Holistic development is a powerful approach to design for of children with disabilities. It integrates all the perspectives of the designer, from physical, to behavioural, to cognitive. This approach provides a framework for building experiences that are rich and interactive, engaging both mind and behaviour. Holistic development is the process of integrating all areas of life into a single whole. It is an optimal framework for understanding, planning and achieving of children with disabilities needs.
